

Walnut is looking for an administrative assistant
Walnut Psychotherapy Center is looking for a part-time administrative assistant to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will be handling our daily billing processes, communicating with clients about billing, and general administrative support. You will work closely with the practice manager, who will provide training on client and insurance billing.
Responsibilities:

Bill client sessions every weekday

Follow up with clients about declined cards and other payment issues

Open & scan the mail

Attend to occasional maintenance issues at the office

Coordinate office supply orders
Qualities of an ideal candidate:

Excellent customer service skills
-
Comfortable working in Excel
-
Likes working with numbers and data entry
-
Extremely organized and methodical
-
Can communicate clearly and empathetically about difficult topics

LGBTQ+ affirming
Bonus points for:
-
Experience with Excel formulas such as vlookup, sumif, countif, etc

Experience in a mental health setting
-
Experience with insurance benefits and claims submission

Time commitment: 20 hours per week, every weekday
Classification: part-time, nonexempt
Compensation: $24 per hour
Location: In person at our Center City office, with optional remote work some days
