Cameron O'Mara, MSW, LSW, PhD

Cameron's therapeutic practice is driven by a warm, down-to- earth style that makes him someone you can talk to without feeling analyzed, judged, or pathologized. He works to help you heal from traumas, losses, or other life challenges, fosters your self-understanding, provides insight to make connections you might not have seen, and empowers you to move forward in ways that feel authentic to who you are and want to be. While he draws from various theories and approaches as needed, Cameron works primarily within a psychodynamic, relationally-grounded model.

Before becoming a therapist, Cameron received a doctorate in existential philosophy with specialties in the phenomenological and feminist traditions. His work continues to be informed by this training and he strives to create a therapeutic space in which his clients can safely explore their "big questions.”
